Practical information about My Home In Saint-Tropez

My Home In Saint-Tropez in a few

The muse of Saint-Tropez is and will always be Brigitte Bardot. In the 1960s, she landed in this small fishing port with her gingham dresses and her horde of friends each one more famous than the last. Then a whirlwind of popularity seizes the enchanting gulf. The Mediterranean climate calls for outdoor living and partying. The actors of the Nouvelle Vague and the Yéyé singers have made of it their holiday resort, building large luxurious residences in a natural environment that they have been able to preserve. Since then, this success has not tarnished and Saint-Trop 'continues to attract people from all over the world, from actors to politicians, by way of the stars of the small screen or French series. The owners of luxurious yachts also like to make the onlookers admire their last maritime acquisition that anchors in the port. At Saint-Trop ', simplicity is out of place. The sequin and the glitter rule the roost. Yet the old town and a cultural heritage are not far away. A citadel from the 16th century, the Annonciade Museum in honor of the celebrated modern art, medieval streets where an ancient fountain peacefully flows, secret squares such as the Herbes which hosts a fish market that is worth the detour ...

In the heights, you will also very quickly find the tranquility of Provence. Crickets, olive trees, vineyards ... Villages offer breathtaking panoramic views of the gulf. Not forgetting the dozens of beaches that bound the coastline. You can rent a private deckchair and umbrella in a private club, while waiting to be served a cocktail or to be settled where you want, on a public beach to admire your children chirping in the waves. The cartoonist Sempé knew, like nobody else, how to crunch this subtle balance in a work he devoted entirely to the paradoxes that inhabit the city. It is precisely here that resides all the charm of Saint-Tropez! According to your wishes, you can taste the calm and beauty of a lush nature or you can slip into the flow of holidaymakers who stroll the port in raptures before the ostentatious luxury of the yachts. Each of these two options represents a unique experience that few places will offer you simultaneously.

How to get there?

Car: the municipality of Saint-Tropez being very preserved has the advantage of not being crossed by any important road. To reach its beautiful shores by car therefore requires precise indications and, in summer, needs a real assault course. You can take the A8 (E 80), exit "Draguignan - Le Muy-Golfe de Saint-Tropez", then the RD 25 to Sainte-Maxime over 19 kilometers and finally the former RN 98 over 12 kilometers. You can also take the A57, exit "Le Cannet-des-Maures", then by the RD 558 on 24 kilometers to Grimaud, and finally the RD 61 on 9 kilometers passing by the famous crossroads of La Foux.By the seaside, the former RN 98 connects the city to Toulon - La Valette-du-Var, Saint-Raphaël, Cannes, Nice and Monaco.Once in the vicinity, the RD 93, called "route des Plages", serves Pampelonne, Ramatuelle and La Croix-Valmer. The road is so pretty that it is worth the walk!

Train: the nearest train station (only 32 km) from the center of Saint-Tropez is Saint-Raphaël - Valescure. It is served by the TGV, intercity and the TER Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. To reach Saint-Tropez, nothing could be easier! Airport: less than a hundred kilometers from Saint-Tropez, Nice-Côte d'Azur International Airport hosts regular and low cost flights throughout the year. For national connections, the Toulon-Hyeres airport, 44 kilometers from the city center, can be a more economical option than Nice airport. However, prestigious holidaymakers prefer the airport of La Mole - Saint-Tropez to 15 kilometers or the airport of Cannes - Mandelieu to 40 kilometers. Grimaud even has a heliport.

When should we come?

The climatic conditions of the region are rather idyllic: hot and dry summers, mild and humid winters. From March to October, the rate of sunshine is the highest of all the Hexagon. Between June and September, average temperatures exceed 20 ° and close to 28 ° during peak periods. In other words, in Saint-Tropez the summer holidays are synonymous with beautiful weather.
