The Granier Beach
Located at the bottom of the south slope of the old town, it is a splendid creek that is accessible after the marine cemetery. It has preserved its wild and natural appearance which makes of this spot a high quality one. The Granier beach is an intimate place where the sea has an exceptional clarity bordered by a magnificent white sand of extraordinary finesse. However, there are pebbles and rolled glasses that are transported by the currents of water, which adds a little more to the setting!
It is wise to leave a little earlier to get places to park your car because the parking is quite small. The Granier beach offers a marine trail serving as a passage for fishing and pleasure boats. The edges of the beach are exceptionally shaded by small trees and bushes providing space, an aspect which is still wild and picturesque.
It is located at the exit of Saint-Tropez just below the citadel. So as to reach it, you have to follow the Graniers road. When you see the marine cemetery, you are already there! Apart from the rather limited parking spaces, there are 2 additional rows dedicated to people with reduced mobility.
The Granier beach is undoubtedly the wildest which is just close to the center of Saint-Tropez. It has only a small area of 80m and is often crowded during holidays. A small stroll will make you discover a more rocky part with some secret bays.
Today, the beautiful treasure takes on a more modern look thanks to the location of the famous restaurant that you should visit at least once in Saint-Tropez. With this addition, one feels that everything has changed, but the atmosphere remains the same, always as authentic and quiet ... You will immediately feel comfortable in your skin, and you will not be able to explain why?
